Products + Applications
* General
TRIHIGH manufactures tubular membranes and modules for filtration, separation and concentration processes in the beverage, dairy and food industry, as well as for pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology and environmental applications.
TRIHIGH ┴s experience and innovative know-how are based on more than 30 years of experience with tubular membranes in demanding high-solids applications.Our tubular membranes were originally developed in the early 1970┴s. Our tubular membranes have been used in literally thousands of applications.
* Strategy
TRIHIGH supplies tubular membranes, modules and engineering know-how via original equipment manufacturers (OEM┴s) and contractors world-wide.
* Products
, Tubular PVDF and PES membranes:
8 up to 13 mm
, HyPerm-AE module:
exchangeable 11.5 mm membranes,
extreme chemical resistance (pH 13)
high pressure application (10 bar)
, HyFlux module:
potted membranes: 8 up to 13 mm ,
high packing density (> 27 m2),
reuse of module housing
* Process descriptions
TRIHIGH tubular membranes and modules are used in a cross-
flow system . Fouling control and prevention of cake-layer
formation are important advantages of cross-flow.
Together with an easyCleaning-in-Place (CIP) procedure the cross-
flow process is an efficient solution for wastewater treatment.
* Applications
TRIHIGH membranes and modules have been installed successfully in a wide range of applica- tions. The low-fouling PVDF and PES membranes of TRIHIGH, available in several diameters from 8 mm up to 13 mm , are used for:
, oil-water separation (marine, chemical industry, off-shore)
, beverage (clarification; apple juice, fruit juice)
, automotive (e-coat)
, wastewater treatment
, biotechnology (fermentation)
, biomass separation

- food
- dairy
- laundries
- leachate
- marine
* MBR-technology
An MBR is a compact-built purification system combining biological degradation with membrane separation. The combination of biological treatment with membrane filtration offers several significant ad- vantages over conventional systems, such as an increase in solid contents in the bio-reactor, resulting in a more compact system, a better effluent quality and a particle free effluent
* Why cross-flow MBR-technology with
TRIHIGH membranes and modules?
, 5 - 10 times higher flux than most submersible membranes
, uses robust and durable PVDF and
PES membranes
, up to 7 years membrane life time expectation
, stable operation at different biomass concentra- tions (up to 40 g /l)
, easy cleanability
, small footprint
, 30 years proven reliability of the tubular mem- branes
, largest MBR reference of 210 m 1/hour
, more than 80 references in MBR-technology
* TRIHIGH largest cross-flow MBR-reference world wide
, Mixed tannery effluent treatment
, MBR and RO
, UF Permeate capacity 210 m 1/hour
, 98 pcs HyperFlux module 8-inch 8mm
, Membrane area 2650 m2
, High flux rates > 80 l /(m2. h)
, Excellent quality for reuse
